Tips on using our marketing resources: Web banners
Do your members know they can find surcharge-free ATMs on the go with the Alliance One mobile app? Sharing the mobile app is easy with our free, promotional resources. Let’s take a look at how to add a mobile app banner to your credit union’s website.
1. Pick your banner.
Web banners (General Theme)

Start by selecting your web banner from our Marketing Resources page, or from any of the links to the right. You can choose an evergreen banner that works year-round or customize your banner with the changing seasons.
Once you’ve chosen a banner, save it to your computer. You can do this by right clicking on the image and selecting “save image as” or “save picture as.”
2. Select your Web page.
Once you’ve saved your banner to your computer, it’s time to find a place to share it on your credit union’s website. Depending on how your website works, you may have several options for where to place your new banner. Some popular places to add banners are your homepage or your online banking portal page.
3. Upload your banner.
If you have access to your credit union’s website content management system (CMS), just upload the banner you saved to your media library or a similarly named folder. Or, if your website has banners saved in a particular directory, put the banner in the same location.
4. Add your banner to your Web page.
If you have access to your credit union’s CMS, navigate to the page where you’d like to add a banner, then click in the area you’d like the banner to display. In your toolbar, click on the button to insert an image (see example screenshot on right). Follow any prompts to select and insert your banner. If you see an option to insert a hyperlink, jump to step 5a.
5. Link your banner to Alliance One’s mobile app page.
Depending on how you update your website, hyperlinking can be done a few different ways.
5a. Use your CMS.
Select the Web banner you just added to your page by clicking on it or highlighting it with your mouse, and then look for a hyperlink button or icon (see example screenshot on right). It should look like a chain link or a globe, or it might have words like "URL" or "Create Link," and it should be nearby other buttons you would use to edit your text or insert an image.
Once you find the link button, click on it. You should see a screen where you can enter a URL or link address. Enter this URL: http://www.allianceone.coop/mobile-app.
This is an external link. Your system may give you the option to select an internal link (one within your website) or external (a page on another website).
Click Save or OK, and publish your web page just like you normally would.
5b. Use HTML code
If you update your website through HTML code, access the page where you added the Web banner, and open up an HTML editor. Find your Web banner by looking for <img src="your image url"/>; the location of "your image url" is the location where you uploaded the banner. Once you find that image code, add the code below (in red) around it:
<a href="http://allianceone.coop/mobile-app"> <img src="your image url"/> </a>
Click Save or OK and publish your web page as usual. Your banner is now live! Check out your site and try it for yourself to make sure it works. When in doubt about any of these steps, or if you don’t have access to your credit union’s CMS, just ask your webmaster or whoever manages your website for help. In addition, please feel free to contact Alliance One at info@allianceone.coop if you need further assistance.
